About 

Mary Anne Shows lives in Birmingham, Alabama. She grew up in Anniston, Alabama. She attended private schools and that is where her love for Math began. 

She attended the University of Alabama with a degree in Retail. After several years in the retail and banking industry world, she earned her Master degree in Education. She taught in the Hoover School System. After 6 years of teaching,  she decided to stay home and raise her two sons, Thomas and Reid. At that point, her love for math encourage her to start “helping neighborhood kids with their math.
 

In 2011, she earned her Middle School Math Certification from UAB. 25 years later, she has had the opportunity to help hundreds of students in the Mountain Brook, Vestavia, and Homewood area school systems. She also works with students who are preparing for the ACT (math only) test. 

In her free time, Mary Anne loves to play tennis and golf. She is very involved with her church and loves her two golden retrievers, Allie and Anna!
